Can NUK products be bought directly from NUK Australia?
You will find NUK products in any good retail outlet in your area, such as specialist baby shops, pharmacies and discount department stores, as well as some supermarkets.
Should the NUK product you are looking for not be available at any time, this can normally be ordered directly from the outlet concerned, you just need to ask them to order it in.

Where can I find Size 3 NUK teats?
"My child is now 18 mont
hs old and still likes the bottle. Where can I find Size 3 NUK teats?"
There is not a size 3 teat. NUK teats only come in two sizes: Size 1 for infants aged 0 - 6 months and Size 2 for 6 - 18 months. Toddlers of 18 months and older are usually able to and want to feed themselves, so from this age we recommend NUK Training Bottles and Training Cups.
These ages are meant only as a guide. Let your child decide on the best size. After all, it's our little ones who know what's best for them.
Please remember that a bottle is on no account a substitute for a soother. Constant sucking on bottles containing feed or drinks, including acidic fruit or vegetable juices, can cause tooth decay.
NUK Silicone soothers are not available in Size 3. Only latex soothers are available in this size.
Silicone is a material that is particularly suitable for soothers due to its high temperature stability and its non-sensitivity to UV rays and milk fats. Silicone is, however, sensitive to the effects of teeth marks, and once the material is damaged it can easily lead to further tears. Soothers should therefore be replaced at the first signs of wear such as scratches or teeth marks. For this reason silicone is only used for soothers in Sizes 1 and 2. After this you should change over to latex size 3, as these will not tear further. As far as shape and function are concerned, there is no difference between the two types.
Where can I find Age Group 1, large hole silicone NUK teats, to use with thickened formula?

Why can't I buy bottles without teats?
"Why can't I buy bottles without teats? My child still drinks water from the bottle and it annoys me somewhat that I have to throw away the medium hole (milk) teats and then buy extra ones for the water."
Basically we only supply NUK feeding bottles fitted with either size 1 or 2 teats, medium hole (for milk). The reasons are as follows:
Firstly, in most shops there just isn't the room on the shelves to display bottles both with and without teats.
Secondly, there is actually little demand for bottles to be sold without teats:
As most bottles are usually bought shortly before or after the baby is born, Size 1 teats for milk are the ones required. But just as important -
Can I use another brands teat with a NUK bottle?
NUK bottles are designed to funtion properly ONLY with NUK teats. The NUK anti-colic air system will not work without both the NUK teat and NUK bottle completely assembled, therefore it will not work with another brand teat or bottle. We can only guarantee optimum function when the teat, bottle and accessories are compatible - in other words using only NUK products. Other brands may not fit properly on NUK bottles and may cause leaks, and will not give your baby the benefit of the NUK orthodontic shape.
Where can I buy dust caps for NUK bottles?
"I've lost the lid (dust cap) for the bottles and can't find any replacements!"
We regret to inform you that, due to lack of demand, we no longer sell NUK dust caps separately, but if you write or phone us I am sure we will might be able to help you, dependant on stock levels.
Please bear in mind that NUK bottle lids (dust caps) are only meant as dust protectors for the teats. They are not meant to be used as an aid to tightening the screw ring. Dust caps are also not suitable for the dishwasher as the cleaning agent used is often too aggressive.
Can the lids for the NUK Magic Cups be bought separately?
Yes, the lids for the NUK Magic Cup Training Cups are available separately and can be bought and ordered from specialist baby shops and pharmacies and directly from NUK Australia (trading in Australia as Simes Australia).
